During the showcase, undertaken in the week before, our team had the privilege of presenting the Veins of Stratford prototype to classmates, faculty, and visitors at the Stratford campus. This showcase and presentation was a great milestone for us in our journey to completion. It was our first chance to showcase our work thus far and present in a physical space and receive valuable live feedback from visitors and our peers.
The booth was designed to embody the spirit of Veins of Stratford, marrying together digital and natural facets themed on human interaction with Stratford's historic wetlands. The booth featured a display TV with a presentation slide deck showcasing and explaining our project as well as tablet on the table advertising and showcasing our project graphics. In addition to this, we had cards and posters to hand out and display to visitors to further promote our installation. Decorating the area were greeting moss and reflective glass marbles. This was to make our booth appear to look like the wetlands of Stratford as so visitors can notice our theme consistent throughout the entire showcase.
Many of our booth visitors were engaged with our presentation and even provided valuable feedback afterwards. The feedback was mainly directed towards our prototype functionality/feasibility and we will take this account moving forward. We are motivated by this experience and will continue to use this momentum to push forward into the final stages of our project. Thank you to all who attended our booth and for the support and helping bring Veins of Stratford into a reality.
Stay tuned for more project updates moving forward with the Veins of Stratford!
